Matilda Harding is a filmmaker and creative from Cornwall who works in London and is a graduate from Moving Image at the University of Brighton. She creates visual art through photography and moving image.
Her work has been widely exhibited in galleries to include the I.C.A. London, Tate Modern, New Flesh, and Towner Gallery, Eastbourne. Also in film festivals such as Brighton Fringe and Latitude. In 2017 she won a major commission which was screened online through the Random Acts Network for Channel 4. Most Recently, Matilda was selected to be part of the London Edit Collective and is on the roster of female video editors.
Matilda's works often explore Identity, desire and the anthropocene; with use of spoken word and discontinuous narratives. In current film she is interested in the provocation of realism. Audience perception is challenged to become immersed in new worlds of experience.
Outside of experimental filmmaking, Matilda works as a freelance Editor and Director working with production companies and brands such as Unrd, Rosie Day and Cross Fire Hurricane. Experience includes Film Trailers, Narrative, Music Content and Commercial brand videos.
